This guide is for 5v5 Forests of Caldavar and for Normal mode games, NOT easy mode. Surprise! This is my first guide! I went around looking for a Armadon guide and I was amazed when I saw the lack of guides out there. Armadon has a bad stereotype of being one of the most worthless heroes in HoN. I'm here to STRONGLY disagree. He is a force to be reckoned with if you play him right and get the right gear. Armadon
A stolid and stalwart defender of the weak, whether Man or Beast, the long-lived Armadon refused to take part in the war between the Legion and the Horde, and instead maintained a neutral haven amidst the strife. With the arrival of the Hellbourne, however, Armadon's choice became clear, and he hefted his mighty mace in the service of good. The gruff warrior is now a key hero in the New Legion. Great tank that takes little damage
Good harasser with quills early / mid game
Pretty good stacking slow that reduces armor
Nearly unkillable once farmed and played right
Pitiful strength gain
Item dependent
Hard to play
Not the best farmer in the world
(starting stats)
(lvl 25 with attribute points)
Quill Spray
Your main harassing ability in the lane. Opponents that allow the debuff to stack are foolish and their hp will drop quickly. Another low mana cost and cooldown spell, combined with snot storm, you won't have trouble keeping restless up.
Armordillo
This is the skill that makes you such a nasty tank. Used properly, you can negate nearly all of the damage your opponent throws at you.
Restless
Your ultimate, that makes chasing even easier and make you hit hard, combined with snot storm. You can have a maximum of 4 stacks at a time, giving you 78 damage and 19% movement speed at rank 3. We do not need damage items with this and we can focus on tank items.

17+. Stats
This can be a controversial build, but this is what I stick with every game now. Snot Storm at lvl 1 because we only need 1 point early, and it could be useful for early team rune ganking. Spine Burst and Armordillo are leveled somewhat equally, with Spine Burst being maxed first. The reason is simply because you need Armordillo early to negate alot of damage, and Spine Burst shouldn't be spammed very often early, only when your opponent wants to farm your creeps in the lane. Restless is gotten at 10 and 11 because it's simply not as important as the other 2 skills early game. You need your survivability to farm, otherwise you will become food to the enemy and you'll end up with no items towards mid game.

Item Build
OR
If spells aren't too big of an issue (which is rare), skip out on Shaman Headdress and get 2 bracelets. However, if spells are abundant on the opposing side, get a Headdress over a 2nd bracelet. Yes it will be a tad bit more expensive but it's worth it. I find Helm of the Black Legion essential on him. Regardless of what others might think, combined with Armordillo, it helps your greatly. The hp and regen certainly help early.
If spells dominate your lane, grab this before you build your Helm and possibly bracelets. Cheap stat boosts and gives you mana to continue using your spells.
This is optional instead of Enhanced Marchers. If you want even more hp or the ability to walk through creeps with small amounts of attack speed and damage. It's entirely up to you. Personally I like the phase ability, which is why I recommend Enhanced Marchers, but these are still a good choice.
Mid/Late game luxury items
If you got Shaman Headdress, feel free to upgrade it to a Barrier Idol
After the core, this is what you want to aim for. It makes you a concern for the other team, and combined with quill spray, makes you deal massive aoe damage. They can't ignore you and might be forced to attack you, which is what you want.
Optional
It's your choice. If the game isn't over at this point, then one of the above items will provide you with increased survivability. The benefits with Frostfield are you get an aoe slow and slow down the attacks of those pesky physical damage dealing opponents. You also have plenty of mana to never run out while using your spells. Demonic Breastplate gives enemies armor reduction as well as a buff to your allies armor, and grants everyone with great attack speed, making your enemies fall fast. Behemoths Heart is also a good choice, providing you with thick, juicy health. It's up to you, games rarely last this long.
NO-NO Items
Combat items. Restless gives you everything you need to deal damage to enemies, and you certainly don't need the movement speed from Hack n' Slash. Your role is tanking, and you should build him as such.

GAME TIME
Early game
See if you can have a ranged hero to lane with you. Your best bet is bottom if your Legion, top if you are Hellbourne. Buy 2 crushing claws, 2 minor totems, and 2 sets of runes of blight. Check the rune spot with your teamates at the 0.00 mark and head to your lane. Make sure you DO NOT spam your quills early. Use them to scare the opponent off your creeps so you and your lane partner can free farm. Last hit is key to get the gold and to not push. If the enemy does come close, feel free to use your quills and use them until you are certain you can't reach them or the stack is low.
Around level 6-9 you and your lane partner may be attacked a bit. Don't panic. You need to click ALOT on this hero. You need to make sure when the opponent is attacking you, you need to show him your ass to reduce all that damage. In a fight, you wanna keep snot storm up and the quill spray stacks up. Don't focus so much auto attacking. Just be sure that you stay alive long enough to get the kill. Turning is key.
Mid game
You should have your helm, Enhanced Marchers (or Steamboots) and some cheap bracelets. You can start focusing a little bit on tower pushes and team fights. If your team wants to tower push, make sure you don't get caught off guard if other enemy heroes show up. Get your back turned to them and take out that tower. In fights, do the same. Move around alot, keep your debuffs up on the enemy and turn, turn, turn when enemies are attacking you.
(eating a rank 3 pyro ult is no problem)
If one of your allies is being chased and almost dead, you can cut to the baddies that are chasing him and slow them. Eventually, your quills will have dealt an enourmous amount of damage and if you played your cards right, you will win team fights.
Late game
Now you're making stirdes into the enemy base. You have your heart and are pretty much unkillable. You should do the same as you did mid game, and be in the middle of fights. If enemies decide to focus you, keep your behind towards them while spamming quills. Support allies in chasing and fleeing and you will win the game!
---------------------------------------------------------
Good Allies
Any ranged hero that can slow down, stun, or shut down other enemy heroes. These heroes are good lane partners and can deal good damage to the enemy.
Bad Enemies
I honestly can't think of many more. Blinkers prove a problem, you can't catch up to them. Anyone with a disable can keep you from doing anything, but I don't see them as hard counters. Legionnaire might be Armadon's biggest counter. A taunt will keep you off your target, and his ult isn't affected by Armordillo. Magebane can possible mana burn you to nothing. Corrupted Disciple's passive skill eat spell spammers such as yourself.
